The Giving Game – Day 4

Recently I attended a wonderful workshop with Panache Desai, author of “Discovering Your Soul Signature.”  Actually I had never heard of Panache until a friend mentioned he was attending his workshop.  So I searched for a video, and while I was watching, my 17 year old daughter walked in the room, took one look at Panache and said, “I have to go see him, Mom!”

Amelia had never asked to meet a teacher – let alone attend a workshop!  I said, “Alright, sweetheart.  I don’t have the funding for it at the moment, but I can absolutely see you there.  Can you see yourself there?”  She said, “Yes, I do.”  I said, “Well then, it looks like you’ll be going!”  Little miracles kept happening until we finally ended up in the class a few weeks later!

Though I had spent years teaching myself how to feel and release my own emotions, I realized I didn’t have the tools to share that experience until I attended Panache’s workshop where he taught a simple process comprised of recognizing and FEELING your emotions, BREATHING and ALLOWING this ‘energy in motion’ to move through your body.  (Our tendency is to stuff, store and ‘hoard’ our feelings, rather than feeling our feelings fully and then ‘shaking them off’ and moving on!)

Based on what I learned, I have created a series of audios which will assist you in moving through specific emotions, one at a time.  I’m presenting these in the same order as Panache does in his book, “Discovering Your Soul Signature,” starting today with “Fear,” and every two or three days you’ll receive lessons that focus on other emotions such as sadness, anger, guilt, shame, self-judgment, patterns etc.  The audios are partially based on what I learned in Panache’s class and/or book, as well as my own personal experiences working through my own ‘stored’ emotions and learning to love and accept myself.

Write in your Journal:

1. What fears am I carrying?  Rejection?  Abandonment?  Betrayal?  ‘Not Enough’?  Anxiety?  Worry?
2.  What do I do to distract myself?  Distraction?  Seeking pleasure?  Sleep?  Food?  Drugs?  Alcohol?  Exersize? Meditation??
3.  Whenever I recognize what I’m doing to escape my feelings – I am willing to respond to this recognition with feelings of love and compassion for myself.
4.  My feelings are a BLESSING – they connect me with other human beings!
5. I am willing to feel my feelings and ALLOW the energy to move through my body as I breathe (hands open, palms up).
6.  As fear comes up in my day, I intend to recognize it for what it is, drop the ‘story’ around what I’m feeling, and TRUST that whatever I am feeling is OK.  It is just energy moving through my body to be released.
